    Job Description

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Geotechnical Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate-level candidates to work alongside our experienced team, learn, and contribute to meaningful projects.

    This hybrid position requires at least 3 days a week in the office. Preference will be given to those who can participate in the internship for at least 3 months.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the design of tunnels, earth retention systems, rock and soil slopes, and deep foundations.
    • Contribute to the design and support of rock and soil tunnels using numerical and empirical methods.
    • Support the development and implementation of geotechnical subsurface exploration plans.
    • Help prepare geotechnical data reports, interpretive reports, baseline reports, and design reports.
    • Interpret geology, geotechnical, and hydrologic conditions to understand their impact on design and construction.
    • Aid in the preparation of proposals and assimilation of geotechnical reports.
    • Supervise drill crews on routine projects and conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA's) with guidance.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned to support project goals and team objectives.

    Requirements:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge in Geotechnical Data Reports (GDR).
    • Experience with PLAXIS 2D and 3D and ITASCA software (FLAC 2D and UDEC).
    • Experience in rock and soil logging, rock tunnel mapping, and subsurface investigations.
    • Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry.
