    Description
    Duties
    • You will provide planning expertise and broad technical authority over the direction of the day-to-day planning activities of the office.
    • You will provide direction over: development of DD1391s for MILCONS and Special Projects (M2R2), Basic Facility Requirements (BFRs), Real Property Inventory (RPI), Facility Planning Documents (FPDs), Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
    • You will provide direction over: demolition of facilities, drawing storage and archives. space management planning for the base, transportation planning, and support for real estate actions.
    • You will prepare or direct the preparation of necessary cost estimates and support documents for planning actions.
    • You will prepares and direct the preparation of project scopes for planning A-E contract efforts, such as Area Development Plans, Base Exterior Architecture Plan (BEAP), BFRs, data collection and geospatial studies.
    • You will direct the development and update of the Base Master Plan and related studies.
    • You will serve as the facilities planning consultant, coordinating with A-E firms on matters concerning planning actions required for new construction, renovation, and improvement projects.

        Qualifications

        Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: supervising the planning and engineering concepts, principles, practices, laws and regulations as they relate to facilities, community, and land use planning; as well as technical expertise in specific areas such as construction plan development, renovation and improvement of real property and facilities planning, design, construction and/or maintenance for different categories of facilities.
