General Laborer - Saint Joseph, MI

Job description

Hoffmann Die Cast will provide its customers with the best quality products at the most competitive prices possible. We are looking for a motivated and dependable General Laborer with experience or willingness to learn CNC machine operation. This position involves operating CNC machines, performing part inspections, and packing finished products.
Key Responsibilities:CNC Machine Operation:
- Load raw materials and unload finished parts.
Part Inspection & Quality Control:
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Conduct visual inspections to check for surface defects, burrs, and other imperfections.
- Record inspection data and maintain documentation.
Packing & Material Handling:
- Pack completed parts per instructions for shipment or storage.
- Label products correctly and ensure traceability.
General Shop Support:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in other general labor tasks as needed, including deburring, cleaning, or assembly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience operating CNC machines is a plus (training may be provided).
- Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
