- Ensure that the clinical curriculum and program evaluation is aligned with accreditation standards
- Lead efforts in continuous quality improvement in a range of areas
- Work with colleagues across the School of Medicine campuses and MMC on efforts to support learner opportunities
- Coordinate efforts with Office of Academic Affairs to ensure that students are prepared to take and pass the USMLE Step 2 Examination without delay
- Lead efforts in continuous quality improvement in the medical student clinical curriculum, including curriculum innovation, competency-based assessments, curriculum mapping, course evaluations and revisions, faculty development and evaluations, and participation and implementation of initiatives developed from the Medical Doctorate Education Committee
- Must be able to originate and develop new methods of completing tasks assignments.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to handle confidential data.
- MD or equivalent required
- Completion of a ACGME residency program required
- Board Eligibility or Board Certification in area of specialty required
- Eligible for license to practice medicine in the State of Tennessee required
- DEA required
- Recognition as an excellent educator
- Meet criteria for a faculty appointment in the School of Medicine
- Demonstrated interest in medical education
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals in the academic community
- He/she should have at least five (5) years of experience in an institution of higher education, preferable in a Health Sciences Center.
