    Job Description

    This position serves as the Division Administrator of the Information Processing Division within the Collection Services Bureau and provides professional resources in a complex work area to improve collection of delinquent tax and non-tax debts.

    Under executive direction, this position develops and implements new approaches to departmental services.

    This position plans, organizes, directs and controls division activities to ensure the uniformity, mission, and accuracy of collection programs, including field operations, bureau call centers, state agency collections and administration of the Third-Party withholding program.

    The position directs, supervises and oversees the performance of personnel, provides guidance and solves problems, both technical and administrative; and promotes and maintains an environment conducive to continuous improvement, high performance, communication and teamwork.

    This position functions as an Administrator of professional resources in a complex work area.

    Required Education and Experience
    Education
    Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
    Experience

    Note:
    Experience is considered professional if the job requires a bachelor's degree.
    Two years of experience as a professional manager or program/staff specialist, or equivalent experience.
    Alternate Education and Experience

    Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and three years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.

    This position is eligible to work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and must work onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

    Selected candidate must have a safe and appropriate designated workspace or workstation for performance of work and secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

    Work must be performed in the state of Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed.

    Retirement Programs:

    Vacation and Sick Leave:

    Eligible full-time employees receive between15 and 35 personal daysand13 sick daysper year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used.

    Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

    Paid Parental Leave:

    Eligible employees can take12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.


    Paid Holidays:

    Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year's Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr.
