Information Management Technician - Elementary/Middle School

In this role, your main goal is to ensure accurate student data is readily available for State and management reports. You will be responsible for gathering and inputting student information, course details, schedules, and other essential data into the District's student database system.

Key Responsibilities

Follow instructions and procedures to meet deadlines effectively.
Create essential schedules like the Master Schedule, Bell Schedule, and Course Dictionary accurately in the student database system.
Verify the correctness of all student data entered for State reporting.
Maintain awareness of State Education requirements and meet reporting deadlines.
Input new enrollments, withdrawals, and renewals into the database system.
Assign student numbers, enter schedules, and document changes.
Generate reports from various systems, ensuring accuracy.
Review, interpret, and edit reports from the database system as needed.
Confirm grades for students and follow up on incomplete grades.
Support school personnel in accessing and managing student data.
Maintain confidential files for auditing purposes.
Assign identification numbers and authorize system access.
Interact effectively with various stakeholders.
Perform mathematical computations accurately.
Monitor Class Size Reduction progress.
Ensure confidentiality of student data.
Comply with equal employment and non-discrimination policies.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills.
Stay updated on information related to job responsibilities.
Adhere to safety rules and procedures.
Follow federal and state laws and School Board policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience in the last five years.
Proficiency in clerical practices and computer skills.
Completion of Information Management Technician Training.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Knowledge of Department of Education regulations.
Bilingual skills.

Terms of Employment: Salary and benefits as per District's plan.

Salary Range: $32,153 - $49,285

Calendar: 247/248

Pay Grade: 14

Note: New hires will be at the minimum of the salary range.
