    Benefits Management Group, Inc. (BMGI) is a growing third-party administrator of member benefit funds. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper for a fast-paced environment in our Rockford office. Candidate must be self-starter and detail oriented with experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.

    Responsibilities:

    • Full understanding of accounting related tasks (Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable)
    • Experience reading investment statements and posting investment activity
    • Working in the General Ledger creating entries and performing reconciliations
    • Closing the books for both month-end and year-end
    • Ability to look at financial statements with an analytical eye
    • Generating reports
    • Coordinating with outside auditors during year end audits
    • Maintaining orderly files for all accounting source documents
    • Allocating vendor bills to various funds

    Requirements:

    • Ideal candidate would have 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, be a fast learner with strong attention to detail, be well organized and able to work with little supervision.​
    • Associates degree or higher in accounting preferred.
