    Description


    POSITION SUMMARY

    Provide personal care, homemaking and related assigned services to clients according to an established physician plan of care under the supervision of a registered nurse and in compliance with applicable Kansas State Nurse Practice Act regulation, agency policy and procedure, and federal regulations.

    Essential Functions Statement(s)
    • Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
    • Provide patients with help moving in out of beds, baths, chairs and wheelchairs.
    • Administer prescribed oral medications, under the written direction of physicians and ensures patients take their medicine.
    • Based upon assisting patients with daily living activities and other hands-on services, documents normal and abnormal conditions and reports to supervising RN or Home Health Manager.
    • Contacts supervising RN or Home Health Manager by telephone to report emergency situations and request special instructions.
    • All other duties as required.

    Requirements

    Home Health Aide Certified in the State of Kansas
