    Description

    Hiring Alert:

    Position: Strategic Sourcing Manager at MACtac

    • Drive sourcing activities for MACtac manufacturing divisions, such as:
      • Creating formal category strategies
      • Enhancing supply base productivity and reducing costs
      • Managing supply base risk and compliance
      • Providing procurement advice to business leadership

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Primary Duties:
      • Develop category strategies with cost breakdowns and market analysis
      • Lead cost reduction plans and negotiate contracts
      • Manage supplier performance and advise on procurement strategies
      • Process owner for Supplier Selection and new source qualification
      • Coordinate with various departments for supply chain initiatives
      • Conduct make/buy analysis
    • Additional Duties:
      • Manage raw material requirements and inventory planning
      • Coordinate special orders and expedites
      • Analyze purchase order backlog reports and market indexes
      • Prepare inventory and purchase variance reports
      • Track supplier non-conformances and cost recovery

    • Budgetary Responsibility: Yes
    • Location: Stow, OH
    • Travel: up to 20%

    Selection Criteria:

    • Education:
      • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Mgt, or Business
      • 7 to 10 years Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience:
      • LCC suppliers management experience preferred
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
      • Must be highly motivated and professional
      • Prior experience with negotiations and formal supply contracts
      • Category-specific experience required
      • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
      • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
      • Process improvement skills
      • CPM or APICS certification a plus
    • Other Requirements:
      • Legal authorization to work in the US
      • Relocation not available
