    Description

    Inventory Controller

    $18.34 per hour

    This role involves working closely with senior management to maintain efficient inventory operations, customer service, and company standards.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate physical inventory at the branch.
    • Use a scan gun to obtain information and move merchandise as needed.
    • Make decisions on pricing and ensure gross margins are maintained.
    • Communicate margin issues to buyers and follow up for timely responses.
    • Review sales price differential reports and make necessary changes.
    • Conduct cycle counts and train staff on inventory procedures.
    • Coordinate inventory control with receiving, perishables, and front end departments.
    • Supervise stock-taker and coordinate writing of adjustment vouchers to vendors.
    • Report shrink and research causes, analyze negative inventory and margins, and review store statistical reports.

    Qualifications:

    • Must pass drug screen.
    • Can lift 50 pounds.
    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in retail or wholesale.
    • Background in physical inventory maintenance/control.
    • Proven leadership skills, ability to supervise and direct employees.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
