    Job Summary

    This is a Level 4 Installer Ultra-Long Haul position requiring extensive national travel as part of a team.

    Essential Job Functions

    1. Basic knowledge of AC/DC power and installation, working primarily inside BDFB facilities.
    2. Understand and implement established safety procedures for equipment, ESD, power, and radiation.
    3. Install frames, cabinets, and miscellaneous equipment.
    4. Install cables, including power, inter-cabinet, alarm punch-down.
    5. Follow established procedures and resolve site issues, such as material and engineering discrepancies.
    6. Measure and mark floors, assemble iron work and cable rack.
    7. Drill floors, install raised floors, anchors, level, align, and secure equipment, meeting earthquake requirements.
    8. Run cabling, fiber, coax, and properly secure to designated locations.
    9. Demonstrate a solid work ethic and capability for self-directed work.
    10. Adhere to all Telecom Standards and Practices.
    11. Operate large trucks with a Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) up to 25,999 pounds without a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

    Education and Certifications

    • CPR First Aid certification.
    • ESD protection course completion.
    • Safe Lifting Practices course completion.

    Experience and Minimum Requirements

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.

    Other Skills and Abilities

    1. Work independently without constant supervision.
    2. Lift up to 50 pounds.
    3. Comfortably climb ladders and work in high places.
    4. Maintain good housekeeping practices.
    5. Competently use basic hand tools.
    6. Read simple mechanical, electrical, MOPs, JIMs, and instructional documentation.
    7. Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
    8. Aware of procedures for working around and on 'in-service equipment.'
    9. Familiar with standard Telecom color codes.
    10. Basic knowledge of AC/DC power and installation.
    11. Customer service orientation with strong problem-solving approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
