    Head- has a Direct Hire opportunity for a Director of Facilities with a reputable Client in the Restaurant and Food industry. This position is full time, on-site in Smithfield, RI. There is no relocation assistance for this position.

    Position: Director of Facilities

    Join our esteemed Client, a leader in the Restaurant and Food industry, as the Director of Facilities. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for managing all skilled mechanical trades, grounds, environmental, and custodial services in a union campus environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of Facilities Management leadership.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead existing and new client programs, including short- and long-range planning, construction and renovation projects, preventative and corrective maintenance, energy management, grounds and landscaping, and janitorial services.
    • Manage facilities maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance and reactive repair of skilled trades.
    • Hire, train, and supervise staff, professionals, and management.
    • Ensure a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business.
    • Oversee construction work and other core services, as needed.


    Requirements

    Basic Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related field.
    • 5 years of experience in Facilities Management leadership.
    • 5 years of experience as a Director of Facilities in a university or campus setting.
    • Experience managing all skilled mechanical trades, grounds, environmental, and custodial services in a union campus environment.
    Nice to Have:
    • Strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape and energy management.
    • Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) is a plus.
