    Butterfly Staffing is seeking a Construction Superintendent to work for a renowned commercial construction company in the Baltimore, MD area for this Direct Hire opportunity. You'll report to a Senior Superintendent or Site Manager, leading on-site field administration and technical management across projects of varying sizes. You'll provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to assistants, foremen, subcontractors, and construction personnel, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with Preconstruction and Project Management teams to establish project schedules and budgets.
    • Provide leadership and communication among the field project team, coordinating daily construction activities.
    • Develop material handling and site utilization plans, ensuring proper inspection of received materials.
    • Implement and enforce project-specific security, quality assurance, and workmanship programs.
    • Schedule and direct day-to-day construction activities, adhering to plans and specifications.
    • Maintain thorough knowledge of project documents and manage as-built records.
    • Facilitate progress meetings with design teams and trades, issuing progress reports and managing subcontractors.
    • Coordinate subcontractor meetings and oversee jobsite control reporting measures.
    • Manage subcontractor payments and review shop drawings for conformance.
    • Lead post-bid and buyout processes, coordinate construction punch list completion.
    • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and adhere to safety standards.
    • Manage OSHA site visits and perform additional tasks as directed by management.

    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
    • 7 to 10 years of commercial construction project experience as a field superintendent.
    • OSHA 30 Certification required.
    • Experience with large-scale multifamily wood-frame projects preferred.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, BlueBeam, and construction scheduling software.
    • Experience with ViewPoint construction management software is a plus.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
    • Ability to pass drug screens and background checks.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • Work on active construction sites with exposure to various hazards.
    • Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction.
    • Visual acuity and manual dexterity required for job tasks.
    • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
    • Must pass pre-employment and random drug screens, and background checks.
