    DENIALS COORDINATORSUMMARY OF JOB:


    The Denials Coordinator/Hospital AR is responsible to resolve insurance payer denials by working closely with the Care Management, Patient Access, and Hospital AR teams to achieve cash recovery and A/R resolution goals, using current available technology.

    Acts as a team leader in supporting the Hospital AR team in A/R resolution and cash goals. Responsible for providing weekly/monthly status reporting of denial activity.

    RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
    High school diploma or GED. Associates/Bachelor's degree preferred.
    Experience in medical billing or healthcare accounts receivable experience;Knowledge of third party payer contracting language and reimbursement terms.
    Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10, CPT, and HCPC codingFamiliar with multiple (widely used) healthcare patient accounting/billing systems.
    Proficiency with Excel, MS Office Suite, Internet Explorer, and Database Management application software.
    Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal. Additional Languages are preferred.

    Ability to multi-task and accurately process high volumes of workAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the publicStrong organizational and time management skills.

    Assertive in resolving unpaid claims.
