    Digital Category Manager, Walmart

    Bentonville, AR

    Field Sales

    The Digital Category Manager serves as a trusted partner to Walmart and is responsible for developing category leadership solutions for Walmart for the confectionery businesses including Chocolate, Fruity Confections, Gum, and Mints. As the Digital Category Manager, you'll need to have a strong foundation in the Walmart digital experience across all channels. You'll be responsible for utilizing shopper insights to identify new digital opportunities to enhance or optimize the online shopping experience. Understanding the full shopper experience- from assortment, digital page, placement, promotion, and merchandising tactics- will be critical.

    This role is the primary insight provider of our digital business at Walmart and leader in developing marketplace actions. This role will work closely with internal and external partners and must be excellent at penetrating key decision makers at the buying level team.

    What are we looking for?
    • Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • 3+ Years CPG experience in Sales and/or Category Management, preferably at Walmart or Sam's Club
    • Strong understanding of digital metrics
    • Experience leading or advising on an eCommerce business.
    • Can develop relationships with key Walmart Merchants
    • Skilled in Walmart Luminate, Syndicated Data, and MS Office Applications
    • Strong presentation building and delivery skills.
    • Ability to creatively solve problems and apply critical thinking skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong understanding of consumer/shopper behavior
    • Willingness to travel (up to 10% of time)
    Nice to have
    • Business analysis experience across multiple functions (CMI, Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing) and/ or channels
    • Proficient with JDA
    What would be your key responsibilities?
    • Create and plan category leadership solutions that deliver profitable sales growth for Walmart. These Digital solutions should include shopper and category insights across products/ assortment, placement, merchandising, pricing, and promotions and align to Category Vision.
    • Project Management and Results tracking on Digital Tests
    • Utilize Luminate & Digital data analytics to make data-driven recommendations on how to improve and/or optimize the shopping and navigation experience.
    • Support Internal Stakeholders to Identify and Solve for Key Opportunities Through Regular and Ad Hoc Analytics/Story Telling (i.e. Line Reviews, Cat Reviews, Through the Line Initiatives, In-store POG
    • Own Perfect Digital Store Initiatives for Walmart Category Team- including Product, Path, Position, and Page
    • Partner with COA to Optimize Paid and Organic Search
    • Act as a Digital Advisor to Shopper Marketing Manager
    • Identify Impulse Opportunities (High Level and Assortment) and Influence Walmart to Test or Implement Solutions by Creating Insights- Based strategies.
    • Upskill broader team around e-Commerce and facilitate training of new digital tools & data sources.
