Job summary
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites applications for a Research Assistant position in the Department of Engineering. This is a full-time, on-site position with limited benefits.The research is focused on peripheral nerve regeneration and requires expertise in neuron cell culture, biomolecular systems, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
Prior experience as laboratory technician or scientific researcher preferred. Skills include proficiency in RT-PCR flow cytometry atomic force microscopy tissue culture biological sample analysis neuron cell culture biomolecular analysis design execution experiments analyze data write scientific manuscript prepare grant proposals present research findings conferences supervision mentorship graduate undergraduate students collaboration disciplines generate innovative research ideas lab operations management maintain operate laboratory equipment ensure safety ethical compliance handle lab inventory purchasing physical demands may require extended periods standing bending sitting desk lifting lbs communication variety constituents externally internally operation office equipment
Qualifications
- Ph.D. Biomedical Engineering Biology Stem Cell Biology and Engineering Neuroscience Pharmaceutical Sciences Cancer Biology Molecular and Cell Biology Regenerative Medicine Tissue Engineering Developmental Biology Biomedical Sciences related to tissue- Education: Ph.D. required.
