Summary

This position is part of the WAPA-SNR-Sierra Nevada Region. As an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic (EEC) Apprentice, you will be an apprentice in the electrical trades and will be provided progressively more complex and responsible training and experience.

**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at the Elverta, CA duty location.**

Duties

As an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic (EEC) Apprentice, you will:

• Maintain, modify, install, repair, program, and test a variety of simple to complex electronic equipment used in these categories: communication, control process computers, and supervisory control systems.
• Develop software test routines for verifying communication settings and operational specifications.
• Perform work on the communications equipment that is used for power system operation and control, relaying, data logging, and indication.
• Perform work on control process computers and peripheral equipment.
• Perform tower wok including tower inspection, hanging coax, changing tower lamps, installing various antenna and associated hardware, and tightening or loosening hardware.
• Perform all duties in compliance with DOE and WAPA orders, WAPA's Power System Safety rules, and WAPA's safe clearance procedures.
