Senior Android Developer - St Albans, United States - Paysera
Description
Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform, ensuring robustness, reliability, and modularity.
Work in synergy with the product team, UX/UI designers, and other developers to develop new features that align with business goals.
Collaborate with the QA team to define, design, and adopt app testing processes, including unit tests and UI tests.
Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs to augment application performance.
Ensure strict adherence to security best practices, keeping user data safe and applications resistant to vulnerabilities.
What we expect:
5+ years of proven experience in Android app development.
Mastery of Kotlin and Java and familiarity with the Android SDK.
A deep understanding of Android design principles and interface guidelines.
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in RESTful API integration to connect Android applications to back-end services.
Knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience in the fintech industry.
Experience with additional programming languages or platforms, especially iOS.
Participation in or contributions to open-source projects or Android development communities.
