    Job Description

  • Lead development of Project Controls strategies including setting the expectations as a part of Technical Scope of Work in the bid packages.
  • Evaluate bid proposals with respect to all project controls elements covering cost, schedule, change management, performance evaluation and management, and contract documentation.
  • Lead project estimate development, budget preparation and schedule development
  • Perform cost benchmarking by compiling cost data from current or past projects to validate contractor commercial bids and facilitate external cost benchmarking to validate the bids.
  • Manage planning & scheduling activities including development of summary and detailed project schedules, progress and performance monitoring, schedule deviations and recovery plan development providing innovative solutions for planning/scheduling problems.
  • Facilitate and oversee the risk assessment, mitigation, and contingency planning process for the project.
  • Coordinate and issue necessary project reports, including progress, cost and schedule.
  • Ensure full integration between the estimating, cost control, planning/scheduling, and risk management functions within the project.
  • Ensure that invoices are tracked, confirmed, and handed off to Accounts Payable properly.
  • Ensure right cost accounting and allocation following finance and accounting guidelines.
  • Oversee contract administration activities.

    The Successful Applicant

  • Professional BS/MS in construction or engineering preferred. Demonstrated experience and working understanding of project planning and scheduling and cost control.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead a group responsible for control of planning, scheduling and cost control activities.
  • Working knowledge and skills in the use of software such as Primavera planning/scheduling, cost control programs and estimating programs such as Icarus, Sage Timberline.
  • Clear demonstration of strong project controls competence. What's on Offer
