    Division Overview:


    Ampirical's Substation Engineering Division has recognized national expertise in the planning and design of new substations and high voltage electrical substations and switchyards.

    The mixture of our talents to offer all aspects of substation/switchyard design services, our trained resources to get the job done, and technical knowledge allows us to design a multitude of solutions to fit the client's need.


    Job Summary:


    The Electrical Engineer works within a multi-disciplinary team work on large-scale power grid projects for major energy providers throughout the states.

    You'll join a team committed to bringing technology to the power industry while understanding, respecting, and protecting the reliability of the electrical grid.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000, depending on relevant experience, education, and qualifications.

    We also offer semi-annual profit-sharing bonuses based on company profits to share in the mutual success In the past, these have ranges between 3.5% - 11.5% of annual salary.

    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited universityEIT or FE Certification preferred (not required)

    Internship experienced preferred (not required)Duties and Responsibilities:
    Deliver accurate designs of high voltage electrical substation components that meet industry and client standards and applicable codes.
    Perform quality reviews of electrical engineering work for both peers/sub-contractors on assigned projects.
    Act as lead Engineer and Engineer of Record for projects.
    Design substation systems and components to include general arrangement, equipment, and electrical layout, grounding, bills of material, etc.
    Prepare construction drawing preliminary packages for bids and review incoming proposals for alignment with design and constructability of methods.
    Manage the development of project proposals, bid preparation, project schedules, etc. for assigned Substation projects.
    Assist project team during construction on electrical substation issues.
    Travel to client sites/field as necessary.
