TEMPORARY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST II

Assignment length: Approximately 2 months (until May 2026)

SUMMARY:

The Temporary Human Resources Specialist II provides high-quality administrative and operational support to the overall Human Resources team and reports to the Human Resources Business Partner in a culture-forward, mission-driven biotech environment. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict confidentiality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

HRIS & Employee Data Administration

  • Complete weekly new hire data entry in UKG and ensure data accuracy.
  • Process employee lifecycle changes including promotions, supervisor changes, department transfers, and other employment updates.
  • Process Commitment Awards and FIC bonuses.

Onboarding & Supervisor Support

  • Support onboarding process administration to ensure a smooth new hire experience.
  • Prepare onboarding materials for new supervisors and distribute to supervisors and HR representatives.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Provide primary reception coverage during breaks, lunches, and time off.
  • Order and coordinate catering for internal meetings.
  • Coordinate Executive Chats and related logistics.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • At least year of related HR or administrative experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to effectively interact with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with UKG and/or SAP preferred.

The hourly pay scale for this position is $21.84/hour to $29.45/hour
