    GEICO is looking for an accomplished, customer obsessed, and results oriented Director of Product Management. This role will represent the product, inspire through product vision, driving continuous value for customers and the business, while continuously finding opportunities for innovation that would create differentiation in the industry. They will be comfortable influencing a group of executives as well as communicating product vision clearly to associates and partners. The ideal leader will champion a startup mindset, promote agile ways of working to create and drive sustainable product solutions through technology.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Represent the product at top level of the organization and partner closely across the organization to craft an inspirational product vision that drives value for GEICO customers, associates and partners across all channels and insurance offerings
    • Model adaptability by encouraging continuous evolution to product direction considering industry trends, emerging solutions, new insights and changing customer and business needs
    • Synthesize insights, proactively share implications and recommendations on new product opportunities to win
    • Connect with external and internal customers to fully understand their needs and build long lasting relationships
    • Identify options and recommendations identifying trade-offs with other leaders to remove impediments for the team
    • Deliver value in an iterative way focusing on the minimum viable product and regularly report on product performance, highlighting wins and opportunities
    • Define and own the 9-12-month product roadmap to drive priorities for teams taking into consideration value creation and cost to create value
    • Identify and measure product level KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), with an eye to adjusting and refining the product and roadmap as the data dictates
    • Oversee product rollout plan, segmentation, product adoption and opportunities for product promotion
    • Partner with Technology leaders to influence end-state architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant, and scalable product solutions that solve material customer and business problems
    • Leverages agile metrics to understand product management's contribution to agile teams and identify potential opportunities for improvement
    • Nurture, develop and define career paths to help product managers identify opportunities for growth and achieve measurable goals

    Requirements:

    • 6+ years' experience in product leadership positions with proven record of accomplishment
    • 6+ years in Agile product management
    • 8+ years of experience creating Consumer or Associate facing products
    • 6+ years managing all aspects of a product feature throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery
    • 4+ years leading, mentoring, and coaching product managers
    • High sense of accountability and strong problem-solving skills
    • Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions and drive change
    • Passion for coaching and mentorship
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to influence across the organization
    • Insurance industry experience preferable, not required
    • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
    • Agile certifications preferred (i.e. SAFe, Scrum Alliance, Scrum.Org, ICAgile, PMI-ACP)
