    Seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a specialization in wireless technology to join our NOC team.

    The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our wired and wireless data communications network.

    The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of wireless network equipment and be adept at installing, configuring, and maintaining it within various parameters, while adhering to industry standards and best practices.


    Responsibilities:
    Install and maintain hardware and software necessary for network operations, including backups and performance monitoring tools.

    Troubleshoot issues to prevent downtime and provide timely solutions.

    Develop upgrade management plans and strategies to address consistent wireless network problems.

    Collaborate with vendors and network managers on implementation and deployment projects.

    Install and manage firewalls and other network security measures.

    Conduct site surveys and configure CISCO switches and access points effectively.

    Train in-house staff on wireless technologies as needed.

    Continuously test network performance and implement solutions for improvement.


    Training & Development:
    Stay updated on wireless technology platforms and systems to ensure optimal functionality.

    Provide technical and end-user documentation for assigned projects.

    Maintain software licenses and stay informed about system security requirements.


    Support:
    Respond to and resolve wireless and network issues assigned by the Service Desk.

    Document findings and coordinate activities with IT support staff.

    Prepare management reports related to system audit, availability, and performance.

    Submit change order documentation for system modifications.

    Collaborate with team members to achieve organizational goals.


    Decision-Making:
    Follow standardized procedures and instructions to accomplish tasks.

    Serve as a technical resource or mentor to other employees.

    Present upgrades and server improvements to upper management.


    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Proven experience in a network engineer role with expertise in networking, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.

    Excellent knowledge of Wi-Fi network infrastructure management, control, and monitoring best practices.

    Experience with Cisco wireless LAN controllers, implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

    Ability to configure network devices such as access points.

    Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

    Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCIE Wireless, CCNP) preferred.

    CWNA training and certification a plus.

    Flexibility to work evening, overnight, and weekend hours as required.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

    5 years of server experience.


    Preferred Education & Experience:
    Master's degree in computer science or engineering.

    5-8 years of directly related professional work experience.


    Certifications:
    Cisco CCNA, CCIE Wireless, CCNP, and ITIL highly desired.

    Candidate must have a current driver's license.

    Essential Capabilities and Work Environment:
    Ability to lift 40lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.

    Flexibility to work flexible hours including weekends and on-call rotations.


    Non-Technical Skills:
    Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work with minimal supervision.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively and respond effectively to changing conditions.
