Sr Network Engineer (Datacenter migration)
Location :
Enon ,OH ( Hybrid role - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration : 12+ months
KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIESDesign, Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer issues .o Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support .o Resolve incidents directly with end users and record detailed actions in ticketing toolo Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to ensure the network stays operationalo Escalate issues to next level of support if unable to resolve in a timely mannerEnsure all aspects of the entire enterprise cloud networks are architecturally sound and highly availableResearch existing and emerging technologies that align with business requirements and provide effective solutions based upon extensive professional experience, industry best practices, knowledge of industry technologies through formal training and/or self-studyInstall and implement network hardware components and cables in data centers and corporate officesPerform approved network changes according to procedures with minimal business disruptionUnderstand and perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs and patchesDevelop and maintain accurate network support documentation in a knowledge repositoryPerform network performance monitoring, trending and capacity planning for the LAN, WLAN, MAN and WANOther duties as assignedMUST HAVE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSUnderstanding of connectivity of datacenter endpoints such as compute and storage devices.
Understanding of network security best practices.
Understanding of migration requirements from physical data centers to the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
Understanding of network traffic flow between on prem and cloud environments.
Critical analysis of network design for optimal network traffic flow.
Expert knowledge and understanding of common network protocols.
Proven experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting and supporting firewall configurations.
Skilled in hybrid networking environments - connecting on-prem to cloud networks (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP).Experience with Integration (Datacenter, O365, Oracle, SAP), Services, and Business Process Management for global solutions.
Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations.Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models.
Strong collaboration and communication skills and ability to work on cross-functional teams.
Ability to work both independent of immediate supervision and in a team environment.
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS8+ years experience actively supporting large-scale programs and projects delivering technology solutions5+ years experience as a collaborative technical leader/consultant
