    Job Summary

    The Corporate & Community Engagement Intern assists with carrying out the organization's relationships with a wide spectrum of corporate and business partners, both nationally and regionally.

    Additionally, this role supports valuable and mutually beneficial relationships with community organizations BGCA partners.

    This position is a key member of the Advancement team and works to ensure the effective development of partnerships resulting in maximum engagement in all its formsrevenue, employee volunteerism, community networking, EITC participation, and opportunities to grow the brand, national and local recognition, programmatic and fundraising goals of BGCWPA.

    In this role you will ensure our current partners are properly engaged and that prospective partners are advanced through the prospect pipeline.

    You will be critical to the sustainability and growth of the organization as our work is not possible without our key partners and identifying new partners.

    This position requires a high energy person excited about multiplying our mission via multiplying and strengthening our relationships with corporate, community and alumni partners.

    Responsibilities


    • Assist with the development and growth of corporate partnerships to provide funding, branding and marketing opportunities for BGCWPA programs and events with measurable outcomes
    • Coordinate corporate and community partnership meetings to create personalized proposals with the Corporate & Community Engagement Manager based off partner interests and organizational goals
    • Data entry and data management
    • Assist with the engagement of prospective partners through all phases of the development cycle, including calls and meetings, presentations and proposals, pledges and contract negotiations
    • Develop innovative and remarkable gratitude stewardship practices for our corporate and community partners, resulting in measurably increased partner retention
    • Assist Corporate & Community Engagement Manager with sponsorship asks from partners for BGCWPA events and programs
    • Coordinate the volunteer process for BGCWPA including group volunteer opportunities
    • Assist with internal communication efforts around fundraising and partnerships and offer support to Clubhouse Directors and Program Managers in resource development
    • Assist with managing cause marketing calendar and efforts through Boys & Girls Club of America partnerships
    Requirements


    • The candidate has an interest in nonprofit marketing, communications and fundraising (advancement). This individual will have a learning mindset with strength in working off of a strategy to execute tasks independently.
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field (examples: nonprofit management, marketing, communications, journalism, PR, business - other fields may be considered)
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving with appropriate decision-making skills
    • Professional level verbal and written communications skills
    • Strong time management, organization, and project prioritization skills
    • The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs function require the following physical demands: lifting & carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing, any/or pulling, climbing to include steps, balancing, stooping, standing, sitting, kneeling, crawling, crouching, and signification fine fingered dexterity.

    Ability to tolerate environmental conditions:
    air conditioning, heat, dust fumes, noise, close quarters, etc.


    • Perform all additional duties and tasks assigned by leadership/supervisors.
    Certifications and Clearances

    CPR, Pediatric First Aid, Child Abuse, Criminal History, FBI clearance, NSOR certificate, PA Disclosure and Mandated Reporter certification required upon hire or newer then 6 months.
