    Job DescriptionAPIS SERVICES IS HIRING A SENIOR ACCOUNTANT TO JOIN OUR PENNSYLVANIA TEAM

    Are you an experienced Accountant professional looking to join a team that provides financial services to non-profit organizations? Our Senior Accountant position may be the position for you

    The Senior Accountant is expected to:

    • Function with the highest esteem in dealing with all employees, supervisors, and consumers of this organization.

    • Function with autonomy, diplomacy and professionalism within the guidelines established by this organization.
    • Be an advocate for all the policies and protocols of the organization.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND POSITION FUNCTIONS

    • Support the Accounts Receivable process for assigned affiliates, on an as needed basis to include billing, cash application, and collections.
    • Prepare and analyze balance sheet account reconciliations and analyses monthly in an efficient and timely manner as part of the financial statement preparation process
    • Assist with cost allocations
    • Maintain general ledger
    • Review and analyze monthly financial statements and report findings to program managers, and facilitate resolution of report discrepancies
    • Maintain government contract financial information to include the review of contract billings to government agencies for data accuracy prior to submission; preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports and budgets to government funding agencies; maintain all contract files
    • Assist with budget preparation including entering of budget into Oracle EPM annually
    • Assist with annual audit and 990 tax return preparation
    • Ability to work for various affiliates as needed.
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Divisional Controller.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree and three (3) to five (5) years of experience in working in an accounting position
    • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in working for a Non-Profit organization
    • Knowledge of Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and programmatic implementation
    • Current knowledge of Human Services financing requirements
    • Current knowledge of the requirements of a Non-Profit 501c(3)
