Freedom Motors USA is a family-owned and operated company, headquartered in Battle Creek, MI, and the leading manufacturer and retailer of wheelchair-accessible vehicles with the widest-ranging product line in the United States.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Product Manager, youll guide the development of wheelchair-accessible vehicles, through modification of existing automobiles. Youll serve as a liaison between the business, technology, and design teams.
Youll lead cross-functional initiatives and manage tasks, tools, and relationships in every phase of development, from product planning through launch and beyond.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, test, and improve technology solutions for product development
Work closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure products meet needs and goals
Contribute to the product vision and strategy
Collaborate with product managers and designers to define the product roadmap and prioritize features
Ensure that products are feasible, scalable, and maintainable
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field
5+ years of experience in product engineering
Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Experience in Automotive, Recreational Vehicles, Police, Fire Vehicles and Ambulance Vehicles, and/or Industrial and Commercial Transportation preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
