Job summary
This position serves as Budget Analyst of the Fiscal at VA Portland Health Care System (VAPORHCS).
The Budget Analyst is responsible for budget formulation - preparation and review for the medical care - research - travel - education/training - resident and training programs at the Portland VA Medical Center.
Major duties include but are not limited to: Budget formulation - preparation and review for the medical care - research - travel - education/training
- resident and training programs Develops work assignments an provides leadership for those who assist in the budget process to include establishing and maintaining ledgers of appropriations, allotments, accumulating financial, employment and workload data to prepare reports,
special projects and analysis Prepares input for station directives on budge formulation procedures Gives assistance to service chiefs and program managers on budget execution application of funds Reviews prior cost records furnishing cost data services reviews department estimates with established criteria makes recommendations Provides technical assistance with regard program funding control fund allotment procedures Prepares annual budget plan medical facility based input received prepares major revision budget plan year required Prepares quarterly allocation requests support budget plan Collaborates various program officials preparing replies Central Office fund inquiries Prepares program analyses use management program operating officials pointing trends fluctuations past employment levels etc Preparers complicated detailed budgetary reports all level management Maintains tracking VISN reserve account station records works VISN reconcile accounts Provides training Fiscal Service station management personnel in budgetary procedures Provides advice guidance training funds control officials formulation Budget Analysis
