    Description

    Our Client, a leader in commercial real estate and facilities/asset management is seeking to add a *HVAC Engineer* to its team.

    This role will work in *Cambridge, MA *and *works Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm. *This is a *contract to hire role* that pays *$26-28 per hour.
    • Upon conversion this role offers increased compensation,an annual bonus plan, and a strong benefit package.
    *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Operates, inspects, and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems in assigned facilities to achieve most efficient results.
    • Assures that equipment is being maintained in a safe manner.
    • Minimizes down time through proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance.
    • Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and company directives concerning building operations and safety.
    • Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, and related building infrastructure.
    • Conduct inspections of HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure they operate within design parameters and meet client-prescribed environmental conditions.
    • Perform assigned repairs, emergency interventions, and preventive maintenance tasks, maintaining accurate records.
    • Respond promptly to emergency situations, seeking additional support as necessary.
    • Develop proactive inspection, testing, and maintenance schedules based on historical maintenance records.
    • Safely operate company vehicles and adhere to prescribed service routines.
    • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
    • Utilize computer and/or PDA for work order management, email, and training purposes.
    • Meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing, and lifting heavy loads.
    *Must-Haves:
    • Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC experience.
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Certification in two or more of the following areas: Electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair, along with CFC Certification.
    • Possession of a valid driver's license.
    *Nice-to-Have:
    • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program is preferred.
