- Perform monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, reporting and analysis
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and recommend necessary adjustments
- Ensure compliance with U.S GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy, approval authority matrix and standard operating procedure
- Support internal and external audit requirements
- Exercise sound data stewardship following data policies (retention, privacy, security) and detailing procedures
- Drive continuous improvement and use systems to increase controls and efficiencies
- Ensure effective data security and controls within ERP, financial systems, and data flows
- Other ad hoc requests as necessary
- An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting (required)
- Prior experience in a highvolume accounting environment (AR & AP emphasis a plus) within a matrixed organization.
- Working knowledge of ERPs required, specific experience with Oracle R12 preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (required)
- Excellent understanding of financial accounting standards and internal controls
- Excellent attention to detail, as accuracy is required in performing all aspects of the role
- Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, computer, and organization skills
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
