    Associate General Legal Counsel

    Position Overview:

    As an Associate General Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in providing legal support and guidance to the company's operations and strategic initiatives in the renewable energy sector.

    Working closely with the General Counsel and other members of the legal team, you will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters, including contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance.


    Contract Negotiation and Drafting:

    Regulatory Compliance:
    Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting the renewable energy sector. Ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements and advise on regulatory matters.
    # Risk Management:
    Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities and develop strategies to mitigate risks effectively. Provide proactive legal advice to support risk management efforts across the organization.
    # Corporate Governance:
    Assist with corporate governance matters, including entity formation, corporate filings, board meetings, and corporate policies


    Dispute Resolution:
    Assist in the resolution of disputes and legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations


    Legal Research and Analysis:
    Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues impacting the renewable energy industry. Provide clear and concise legal guidance to internal stakeholders based on research findings.
    # Collaboration and Communication:
    Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business development, finance, operations, and environmental compliance. Communicate legal concepts and implications to non-legal stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

    3-5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on renewable energy, environmental law, or related fields.
    ~ Strong understanding of contract law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance principles.
    ~ Prior experience in a corporate legal department or law firm preferred.

    Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Stamford area.
