    Astrophysics Inc. is a leading global designer and manufacturer of X-Ray security inspection systems. Astrophysics is an expanding, dynamic and fast-paced company looking for individuals who want to grow with us and be a part of a meaningful security mission. We currently have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembler located in City of Industry, California. This position is temporary with the opportunity for permanent employment.

    Job Summary:

    The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly of the mechanical components of security x-ray machines. Mechanical assemblers collaborate in teams to build units that are utilized globally.

    Essential Functions:

    • Assemble the mechanical components of x-ray machines
    • Utilize handheld tools to screw and drill parts
    • Connect large panels and other components to machines as needed
    • Assemble equipment according to manufacturing plans, manuals or drawings to meet quotas and deadlines

    Education/Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 6 months to 1 year experience in mechanical assembly preferred

    Shift and Schedule:

    • 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
    • Monday through Friday
