MRI Technologist - Biddeford, United States - MaineHealth

Description

The MRI Technologist is a Radiologic Technologist who has received advanced training and has been certified by the ARRT or ARMRIT to utilize magnetic resonance imaging scanners to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis and/or treatment.

May float to all locations that MRI services are provided for at SMHC.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education:
Completion of a certificate or degree course of study specifically in Radiologic Technology preferred.

License/Certifications:
Will be eligible to take the ARRT/ARMRIT within 15 months of hire. BLS required.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years' previous experience desired.

Techs must be able to closely follow a physician's instructions, prepare and operate MRI equipment, position patients correctly and effectively record the requested diagnostic images.

Good written and verbal communication as well as sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of patients.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Must be able to flex based on department volume/demand.
