    SUMMARY
    Develops, implements, manages, and assumes responsibility for timely completion of special projects as assigned by the Division Head. Effectively manages inter-institutional collaborations, coordinates executive meetings and develops high quality communications. Must have exceptional problem-solving skills, written and oral communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships.


    Project themes may include:
    a. Strategic planning, operations, data analysis, staff education, etc. Independently researches, analyzes, and interprets metrics and data for use in decision-making and division communications.

    b. Administrative leadership of the Sarcoma SPORE grant

    c. Coordination of progress report and resubmission of the CPRIT Pediatric Core Grant

    d. Coordination of the Researchers Roundup, part of the CPRIT Advisory Committee on Childhood Cancer

    e. Coordination of harmonization of pediatric and adult sarcoma practice at MD Anderson in alignment with MSKCC and DFCI.


    • Supports the division and departments by carefully developing, tracking, and reporting milestones of key deliverables. Apprises leadership of progression with deliverables and obtains feedback on issues requiring input/consideration or having the potential to be challenging. Works with division and departments on various projects by coordinating team engagement activities and directing the tracking, reporting, and milestones of each project/activity.
    • Supports the Division Head in developing high quality presentations, publications, correspondence and other communications for both the clinical and research efforts of the Division Head.
    • Coordinates executive meetings, committees and workgroups by developing agendas and communications and monitoring completion of action items. May serve as a division representative on committees and participate in projects with strategic partners across the organization as assigned by the Division Head and Project Director, Office of Division.

    Requirements

    Education Requirement:
    Bachelor's degree in Science, Healthcare Administration or related field

    Education Referred:
    Master's degree in Science, Healthcare Administration or related field.

    Experience Required:

    Six years of experience in healthcare and/or research program development and management to include three years supervisory, lead or project management experience.

    May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

    Experience Preferred:
    With preferred degree, four years of experience in healthcare or research program development and management to include two years supervisory, lead or project management experience
