    Job Description and Responsibilities

    We are seeking a Mill Electrical Technician Trainee to join our Maintenance team at our Pueblo, Colorado location. This position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent.

    • Primary Function - Skilled in all three crafts, Combustion Technician, Electronic Repairman and Electrical Inspector(Maintenance Electrician), to provide necessary electrical, electronic and combustion maintenance to all areas of the Mill in a safe manner.
    • Machines, Equipment & Materials Used - All Electric Shop, Combustion Lab and Electronic Shop equipment and tools, mobile equipment of every kind, controls, switches, valves, ovens, furnaces, machinery, cranes, prints and drawings, appropriate hand, power and measuring tools. Machinery, equipment, tools and materials used by Combustion Technicians, Electronic Repairmen and Electrical Inspectors(Maintenance Electricians).
    • Source of Supervision - Manager of Maintenance, General Foreman Shops, Foreman Shops, Foreman Electric Shop, Foreman Combustion Shop, General Foreman Utilities, Mill Maintenance Foreman and Mill Electrical Foreman
    • Direction Exercised - Combustion Technicians, Electronic Repairmen, Electrical Inspectors(Maintenance Electricians) and Apprentices in these three crafts.
    • Essential Job Functions – Must have completed or have the equivalence of a craft apprenticeship in one of the three crafts, Combustion Technician, Electronic Repairman and Electrical Inspector(Maintenance Electrician). Take courses and pass tests, complete the RMSM training program to become skilled in all three crafts. Skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, dismantling, assembling and installing anything in these fields in the Mill. Must have a valid Colorado drivers license and a mobile equipment qualification. Functions as a Combustion Technician, Electronic Repairman and Electrical Inspector(Maintenance Electrician). Trained in the operation of overhead cranes.
    • Marginal Job Functions - Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly. Performs routine maintenance and assists Maintenance personnel.
    • Essential Physical Activities - Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, carry, finger, grasp, feel, talk to communicate, speak over public address system, hear, and make repetitive motions. Needs to see to read prints, inspect and repair. Frequently exerts forces up to 75 pounds to lift, carry, push and pull.
    • Work Conditions - Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. Exposed to elevated noise levels, vibrations and extreme cold and heat. Physical Hazards-Close proximity to moving parts and electrical currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to natural gas, high heat, hot surfaces, molten metal, chemicals, oils and lubricants. Atmospheric conditions may require use of a respirator.

    $ $35.71 per hour

    • Relocation Assistance available between $5,000- $10,000 depending on location
    • Shift differential
