- Update webpage content in collaboration with the SPE Communications Team and University Marketing and Communications Team
- Coordinate content for the Food Studies newsletter and newsletter distribution, and additional programmatic communications throughout the year
- Coordinate content for the Psychology Handbook and course lists throughout the year
- Assist with public-facing and internal events linked to the two programs throughout the year
- Assist with scheduling meetings with students and faculty for the chairs of each program
- Responding to inquiries on behalf of both programs, in consultation with the respective program chair
- Assist with clerical support, including data entry, filing, and other projects for both programs as needed

Description
Dr. Kristin Reynolds (Chair and Assistant Professor of Food Studies) and Dr.Pani Farvid (Chair and Associate Professor of Applied Psychology) seek a detail-oriented, organized, dedicated, efficient and reliable Student Assistant Specialist to support both the Food Studies and Psychology programs during the academic year and summer months.
These responsibilities contribute to the social justice and applied focus of these programs, which are part of the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Studies (BPATS) within the Schools of Public Engagement (SPE).
The Student Assistant Specialist position requires approximately 20 hours a week and some on-campus presence will be necessary, (i.e., for events, meetings, and other programmatic support activities).
