    • The Arbors Assisted Living of Islandia East is currently seeking friendly and reliable people to assist our residents with their activities of daily living in our Memory Care Community.
    • We have full time, part time and flexible per diem schedules with room for growth in all five of our communities.

    Performance Responsibilities:

    Interpersonal/Communication:

    • Works in conjunction with the Wellness Director and Case Manager to assure the needs of the residents are being maintained.
    • Receives daily work assignments from supervisor to assist in resident care.
    • Receives verbal report from previous shift and provides verbal report to next shift regarding special events; changes in resident's condition.

    Adaptability to Change/Flexibility:

    • Able to deal with multiple, competing demands
    • Able to take on new tasks and responsibilities when necessary
    • Adjusts and adapts to community as well as departmental changes

    Task Specific-General:

    • Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's), personal care, including but not limited to nails, hair, oral hygiene, toileting, bathing, transferring, dressing and undressing as needed.
    • Assists residents with managed incontinence programs including toileting assistance, changing and managing incontinence briefs.
    • Checks residents regularly to assure that personal care needs are met.
    • Assist with recreational activities including effectively leading an activity as required.
    • Brings residents to and from meals and activities when necessary.
