- Supports the Director in planning the District Pre K Program
- Supports the Director in implementing the District Pre-K Program
- Supports special education Early Childhood student programming as needed
- Conducts community outreach and workshops on the Kindergarten Transition for prospective families, preschool staff and community stakeholders
- Provides IEP Compliance Support for PPT meetings
- Assists in weekly IEP meetings regarding IEP development, IEP implementation and follow through with weekly special education issues
- Assists the Director in the administration and supervision of preschool and the instructional program
- Assists the Director in aspects of the screening and selection of all school personnel as delegated by the Director
- Assists the Director in aspects of the supervision and evaluation of all school personnel as delegated by the Director
- Assists in preparation and administration of the budget
- Serves in the place of the Director whenever the Director must be absent

General Statement:
The Assistant Director of Early Childhood Development and Intervention is responsible for managing district pre-K programs, collaborating with principals to ensure that pre-K programs are implemented with fidelity and supporting the private and public pre-K Programs in Stamford.
The Assistant Director of Early Childhood Development and Intervention reports to the Director of Early Childhood Development & Intervention.
