    Job Description:

    • Must have Electrical Engineering degree and experience. Other engineering backgrounds will not be considered.
    • Perform power flow, short circuit, and facility studies in the ERCOT area.
    • Write reports to explain study results. Develop holistic solutions to interconnect customers, correct criteria violations, and address rehab needs.
    • Present projects to internal engineering groups and support them throughout project development.

    Technical Expertise:

    • Possesses advanced knowledge and performs varied assignments with proficiency in the application of theory and analytical techniques to solve diverse problems and complete extensive analyses.
    • Understands interrelationship between systems and component equipment.
    • Analyzes and recommends enhancements to business processes.

    Leadership and Guidance:

    • Leads, facilitates, and coordinates work activities of others within the work group, team, department or other corporate entity as necessary to perform all routine engineering technology effort.
    • Ensures all work activities are performed in accordance with the policies, practices, standards, and rules of the company.
    • Planning and Organizational Ability: Develops input necessary to forecast costs for the routine projects, improvements requisitions, etc.

    Problem Solving and Initiative:

    • Resolves and initiates solutions to routine and/or moderately complex problems which usually require additional definition/clarification before analysis can begin.
    • Identifies problems that are beyond the normal routine. Seeks out opportunities and embrace new ideas and approaches.

    Communication Skills:

    • Helps coordinate the work of other engineers in an efficient and effective manner.
    • May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Has typically acquired 2 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in a program accredited by ABET
    • Individuals with a Master's or Doctorate degree in engineering may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.
