WHY THE GEORGE...

The George is a 56-room upscale, boutique hotel located at 615 Front Street Georgetown, SC (corner of Front & Queen Streets) that began development in February 2022 and opened March The property will offer visitors and locals an unparalleled waterfront dining and lodging experience at an unsurpassed location within the charming historic, colonial seaport town of Georgetown, South Carolina. In addition to fifty-six rooms and suites, the property will offer a full-service restaurant and bar on the Front Street side of the property, and will feature waterfront event space, a waterfront bar and activity lawn for lounging, games, and events. The George will have direct marina access affording boaters and opportunity to enjoy the hotels' amenities and guests an opportunity to access charter vessels for fishing, eco-excursions, and sailing in the Winyah Bay and surrounding areas.

THE ROLE

You have a great sense of urgency and awareness to your surroundings, while also being graceful and precise. As a food runner, you will ensure each dish is delivered to the respective table while not leaving a single guest empty handed.

What we will ask of you:

• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment and maintain clean service areas throughout shift
• Communicate with food expediter as needed to ensure proper delivery of food
• Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate to server and expo as needed
• Take soiled table ware to dish room and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in designated areas in the soiled dish drop off area

Requirements

Requirements for Success:

• At least one year of experience preferred
• Have a positive energy, be ready to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and all guests
• A flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
