    Perform routine Quality Testing of Gas Producers, Power Turbines, and Reduction Gearboxes to ensure conformance to Solar and/or customer specifications.


    • Promote and demonstrate support of all safety and lean initiatives.
    • Assist with the installation and removal of gas turbines and accessories.
    • Assist with green run and final performance acceptance test of gas turbines.
    • Observe, record, and review test data.
    • May support more senior Technicians in the resolution of skid or package issues.
    • Assist in setup and use of all computerized data acquisition systems.
    • Attend all available training programs as directed by management.
    • Works under the general direction of a qualified Test Technician, Test Team Lead, Test Supervisor or Test Engineer

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
    • 6+ months of mechanical experience, whether professional or personal.
    • Ability to operate shop equipment, bench tools, hand tools, and inspection and test equipment (micrometers and multimeters)
    • Knowledgeable in the use and application of simple electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to resolve problems and make sound decisions
    • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet training, production and team goals
    • Willing to take initiative to improve technical expertise through handson, on line and instructor led training
    • Ability to follow written or handson technical training/instruction

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior manufacturing experience
    • Able to communicate effectively within a crossfunctional environment
    • Basic computer skills
