    The plant maintenance supervisor will direct the day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure quality work is being completed safely and in a timely fashion. Candidates will need to be proficient in developing work schedules and coordinating repairs between in-house or contract labor and production.

    Supervision and Leadership

    • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics.
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure the team's effectiveness, productivity, and safety.
    • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Perform periodic contractor review and scorecards to improve level of service and avoid disruption.

    Maintenance planning and scheduling

    • Implement the preventive maintenance program for plant equipment and machinery.
    • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
    • Coordinate with production and operations teams to plan maintenance windows that align with production schedules.
    • Assist with the development of spare parts stores.

    Equipment Inspection and troubleshooting

    • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation problems.
    • Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repairs.

    Regulatory Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Stay informed about industry standards and best practices in maintenance and implement necessary changes to meet compliance requirements.

    Training and Development

    • Provide training to maintenance staff on equipment, safety procedures, and best practices.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the maintenance team.

    Documentation and Reporting

    • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a maintenance role within a chemical manufacturing environment
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
    • Leadership and team management skills
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
    • Sit, stand, walk, for extended periods as well as able to climb a ladder and lift 50 lbs
