- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure the team's effectiveness, productivity, and safety.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Perform periodic contractor review and scorecards to improve level of service and avoid disruption.
- Implement the preventive maintenance program for plant equipment and machinery.
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to plan maintenance windows that align with production schedules.
- Assist with the development of spare parts stores.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation problems.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Stay informed about industry standards and best practices in maintenance and implement necessary changes to meet compliance requirements.
- Provide training to maintenance staff on equipment, safety procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a maintenance role within a chemical manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
- Leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
- Sit, stand, walk, for extended periods as well as able to climb a ladder and lift 50 lbs
