    COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

    The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accounts payable lifecycle as well as maintaining and processing all data and documents related to assigned projects, working closely with Project Managers and ensuring all relevant financial data has been received and applied to projects. In addition, the Senior Accountant will assist Human Resources with insurance audits, bill pay, and payroll.

    ACCOUNTING

    · Knowledge of financial accounting, cycle counting and cost accounting.

    · Responsible for full cycle Accounts Payable

    · Invoice entry into Accounting software for multiple entities

    · Audit invoices for correct coding and approvals

    · Verify the accuracy of invoices and purchase orders for payments

    · Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues

    · Reconcile vendor statements as needed

    · Interfaces with vendors to resolve invoice disputes/discrepancies

    · Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures

    · Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports

    · Daily deposits and monitor bank register balances

    · Monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts

    · Assist with month-end close

    · Assist with 1099 Preparation

    · Assist with Insurance Audits

    · Respond to requests for information, reports, audit requests

    · Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

    · Assist with special projects as requested

    HUMAN RESOURCES

    · Track down timesheets and time approvals for bi-weekly payroll

    · Full understanding of the payroll process to provide back up to Human Resources

    · Assist with insurance bill coding and auditing

    · Process insurance payments

    · Fund the 401(K) bi-weekly

    · Trouble shoot HRIS issues as needed

    Requirements

    · Minimum of 5 years accounting experience in construction related field

    · Must be able to meet deadlines

    · Ability to take the lead to initiate new processes

    · Excellent communication (written and oral), organizational, and follow-up skills

    · Data entry and attention to details

    · Foundation Software experience a plus

    · Experience with Microsoft Office; proficiency in Word, Excel preferred

    · Drug Free (will be tested)
