    The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Project Manager for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Cambridge, MA. Details for the position are as follows:

    Job Description:
    • The SRI (Scientific Alliance Manager) team in R&D looking for a purpose-driven, inclusive, entrepreneurial and collaborative change agent with a passion for innovation to help drive our efforts to manage the innovative projects and alliances.
    • In this highly visible role, you will network with R&D Leaders and coordinate across multiple R&D functions to launch and manage scientific collaborative projects between internal and external scientists and ensure that projects deliver milestones according to agreed-upon timelines
    • Additionally, you will work with key internal partners, including Business Development, Transaction teams, the Contracting Center of Excellence, and Legal, to shepherd the next phase of projects launched under the program.
    • The Alliance Manager will lead operations for a key R&D grant funding initiative for collaborative projects with research centers and early start-ups across North America that explore emerging science and technologies (e.g. digital and data science, high-throughput screening, drug delivery, and imaging tools) that can be applied across the therapeutic pipeline.
    • Responsibilities
      • Manage project alliances (coordinate team meetings, capture team meeting minutes and action items, ensure that scientific deliverables are being met according to timelines, liaise with legal, kick-off and close-out projects).
      • Lead partnership programs (iDEA-TECH and Open Innovation Lab) to test and internalize new tools and technologies to support R&D portfolio.
      • Drive efforts to develop and execute new intrapreneurial models that foster cross-fertilization, and both empower and showcase talent, including through Consortia participation, the Cambridge Cross Open Innovation Lab, and the Innovation Xchange forum.
      • Communicate project successes and support program transparency to key stakeholders (contribution to newsletters, scientific symposia, KPI dashboard).
      • Update and track project transitions and milestones using the Smartsheet tracker.
      • Work with an SRI Program Lead to support the launch of the next grant funding call including by helping to secure sponsorship commitments, identify the priority scope for each sponsoring function, and generate the project call materials and application portal.
      • Facilitate discussions between the scientists and legal to execute contracting for new project contracts.
      • Increase R&Ds visibility and reputation.
      • Regularly communicate updates to the Head of Scientific Relations & Initiatives, North America
    Qualifications:
    • BS with 3+ years or MS/PhD with 1+ years of true Project Management experience
    • Project Management duties in a biotech/pharma environment (meetings, desk work, leading projects, strategic planning calls, reports...)
    • Experience building external networks and partnerships including industry-academic partnerships
    • Experince in SmartSheets and Microsoft office preferred
    • PMP training preferred
    Compensation: $42-62 an hour depending on experince/education
