    Overview:

    The Project Engineer will lead the engineering team with advanced degrees of direct project responsibilities while maintaining an in-depth knowledgebase of the telecommunications site development process. Project work will focus on new site development of macro and small cell sites, the modification of existing telecommunications facilities, fiber optic networks, and other project types as required. Responsibilities will focus on the accurate and efficient production of engineering deliverables and maintaining effective job flow while managing multiple projects. Project Engineer assists the Engineering Market Manager with the delegation of assignments, resource allocation, personnel management, and the oversight of quality and timeliness of deliverables while utilizing an understanding of client-specific telecommunications equipment and their usage. Advanced problem solving and analytics will be employed and shared with the team as well as mentorship and training.

    Responsibilities:

    We are looking for a Project Engineer for our Blue Bell, PA office.

    • Supervise, manage, and perform quality control for a team of engineers and drafters in the production of structural analysis reports, modification design drawings, construction drawings, cost estimates, and other construction / contract documents and field inspections for various telecommunications structures, buildings, and foundations (35%)
    • Read and understand drawings for complex buildings and various telecommunication structures (10%)
    • Understand and perform calculations conforming to applicable building codes as support for structural design, such as TIA-222, IBC, ASCE7, ACI AND AISC (5%)
    • Provide guidance and training to junior level engineers (10%)
    • Perform QA/QC and shop drawing review (5%)
    • Perform construction observations and inspections (5%)
    • Attend meetings with contractors and construction managers (2%)
    • Communicate clearly with clients and company employees as to daily tasks performed both on the client site and in the office (2%)
    • Supervision of multiple projects as the client point of contact, with emphasis on timely submittals, managing revenue/profits margins, and facilitating payments / invoicing (5%)
    • Responsible for managing staff and vendors for work in progress in regards to project deliverables and milestones (3%)
    • Maintain project trackers and internal database for assigned projects (3%)
    • Responsible for managing the financial aspect of assigned projects including bidding and proposals, obtaining purchase orders, review / approve vendor invoices and revenue forecast through project closeout (10%)
    • Positions supervised are Engineer II and Engineer I
    • May travel up to 5% of the time for site visits and client meetings within 100 miles of the office.
    • May partially work from home in accordance with company policy.
    Qualifications:
    • Must have a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in civil or structural engineering with five years of progressive experience in civil or structural engineering OR Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in civil engineering or structural engineering with three years of progressive experience in civil or structural engineering
    • MUST have PE/EIT designation
