    Research Coordinator - Government Strategies

    Washington, DC (Hybrid job) Contract-to-Hire, Starting ASAP
    Research Coordinator , Investigations and Policy for our Government Strategies & Compliance practice.
    This role will be ideal for a college graduate looking to head to law school in a few years. This position is a mix of administrative work and in-depth research and legal work. It is like an entry-level legal assistant or paralegal role. We are seeking applicants with a strong interest in a career in law or government relations.
    The research entails helping companies assess and ensure their compliance with U.S. immigration laws.

    Our client is seeking a highly-organized, multitasker to work on a variety of audit and investigative matters in the field of immigration that crossover many other types of law including international, criminal, labor and employment, constitutional, regulatory and administrative.


    RESPONSIBILTIES
    Perform research and case investigative work including reviewing and summarizing case law topics, interview notes, and data sets.
    Organize, analyze and summarize large sets of data in Excel, databases, and case files.
    Oversee the organization, formatting, updating, and accuracy of documents including case materials, client presentations, and review documents.
    Work closely with a team of attorneys & analysts to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget and of high quality
    Assist Partner in developing presentation of project deliverables & reports , including preparation of project metrics & financial analyses to clients
    Provide project updates and develop reports to meet stakeholder requirements and needs
    Monitor changes in legislation and regulations likely to impact clients' immigration programs
    Conduct research using various research tools, including the Internet, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and other court-related websites for case law, statutes, articles, and books
    Assist in other areas of daily operations including meeting scheduling, proofreading and editing documents, and other administrative responsibilities.
    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor's Degree and a strong interest in a career law, government relations or similar field.
    Highly skilled at researching, collecting, and analyzing data
    Ability to meet tight deadlines.
