    Description

    Job Description:

    If you enjoy being physically active and helping others, this may be a good fit for you The Material Handler I position will assist Materials Management in daily operations.

    Although two days will rarely be the same, common responsibilities and duties are as follows:
    Deliver packages and surplus items to faculty, staff, departments, and studentsPick-up packages and surplus itemsProcess inbound and outgoing packages; sort, label, and load for deliveryGreet and assist visitors to Shipping & Receiving and SurplusPrepare surplus items for auction; create auction listingsEnsure packages are labeled and delivered properly Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Customer-service oriented with a genuine care to help othersStrong attention to detailAbility to prioritize and problem solve Tow-motor experience preferred, but will trainComfortable driving pick-up trucks and box trucksFlexibility in work assignments and schedule Requirements: High school diploma or GEDValid Driver's License with a clean driving record Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly

    Additional Information:

    Salary: $13.50/hrKentucky state law requires all public institutions of postsecondary education to conduct pre-employment criminal background checks to determine suitability for employment.
