The RWJMS research department is headed by Dr.

Detlev Boison, Professor & Vice Chair of Research & Training, and currently features a total of 7 R01 active grants and 1 DOD active grant among the research faculty.

The following research programs are established within the Department of Neurosurgery:

Epilepsy Research, Traumatic Brain Injury, Reynolds Family Spine Research Laboratory, Neuropathic Pain Research, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuroimaging, Neurostimulation, Cancer Research, and Clinical Trials.

The candidates will be expected to contribute to clinical and educational activities with an emphasis on mentoring students and trainees.

Prospective applicants interested in basic research will also be granted protected time to develop lab interests and acquire funding.


Candidate Requirements:
BC/BE in Neurology
NJ licensed or eligible for NJ licensure
Successful applicants should possess excellent clinical skills and the ability to work within a growing multidisciplinary team.
