Job Description:

• Ensure all bars are maintained in optimal working condition
• Supply all necessary items for the bar before and during events as requested by Beverage Supervisor and Captain
• Restock all beverages after events
• Assist with monthly beverage inventory and organization of storeroom

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Support Bartenders and Beverage Servers by stocking service areas, cleaning and restocking glassware, assisting with beverage service, and transporting food trays
• Participate in monthly inventory checks
• Inspect and prepare service ware before use
• Assist Servers during busy periods by clearing tables
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas and lounge
• Help with post-shift cleanup and duties
• Keep storage areas clean and organized
• Attend training sessions and meetings

Supportive Functions and Responsibilities:

• Promote teamwork
• Communicate problems or significant matters promptly
• Interact with supervisors daily
• Maintain knowledge of alcoholic beverages and cocktail recipes
• Greet guests professionally and suggestively up-sell beverages
• Ensure quality service of beverages
• Record guest orders accurately
• Monitor guest consumption and prevent over-indulgence
• Perform closing duties and monthly inventories
• Comply with uniform and grooming standards

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Wine & Spirits, and food
• Excellent guest service skills
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively
• Certifications: "Certified Food Service Manager", "TIPS" or equivalent
• Effective leadership, management, and communication skills
• Fluency in English
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One+ years of experience as a Barback in a high-volume, upscale Hotel or lounge
