• As a Senior Software Engineer DBA with over 10 years of experience, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex databases. Your expertise will ensure high availability, performance, and security for mission-critical databases. Here are the key responsibilities and skills associated with this role:
• Build, maintain, and scale Go clients/projects and their support tools.
• Contribute to Open Source and get the chance to grow your reputation and skills.
• Collaborate with team members to discuss and implement service improvements, research new tools and services to solve sophisticated problems properly.
• Ship incrementally and often, helping the team to maintain a constant flow of feedback on its work.
• Work in an agile environment with a DevOps approach—teams build and maintain their own software, including participating in second layer support rotations.
• Creation and handling of Changes for the DDL and Application Releases every Month/Quarter.
• Creating and handling change requests to honor changes which are necessary with space/abend fix.
• Prepared test environments and performed data refresh.
• Supporting Application Programmers during testing phase of various database applications.
• Fixing batch job failures.
• Scheduling, Monitoring REORGS/ IMAGE COPIES/ RUNSTATS for Development, Test and Production environments.
• Updating CARDLIB, PROCLIBs, JCLLIB's as per the changes using Changeman/Endeavor.
• Experienced with Online and Stand-alone utilities based on the requirement.
• Involved in DB PRE/POST checkouts for Version upgrade/Maintenance.
• Involved in Performance tuning requests to an extent.
• Creation of Subs/Pubs, QMAPs and Queues as per the requirement.
• Involved in Refreshing the target schema using QREP tool from Source Schema data.
• Involved in Decommission of application objects as per requirement.
• Automated database wide health checks to alert via email.

• You have experience and are passionate about on SMP/E and DB2 System Programming for z/OS, Mainframe systems, software architectures and programming language.
• You're an autonomous, cross-functional, and agile person who thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality software at a regular cadence.
• You're self-motivated, learn fast, keep accountable and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.
• You thrive collaborating with colleagues in important decisions and sharing code ownership. Have good understanding in CLONE tables.
